Hello and welcome! My name is Zoé Schreiber. I love art. I love the way it opens new vistas. I love the rich texture it gives to life.
Since founding Zigzags in 2016, I have written extensively about art, walking my readers through a myriad of exhibitions and introducing them to countless artists. What began as a blog about rediscovering Brussels through its cultural offerings evolved into an online curatorial platform, with a growing collection of writings, committed to make contemporary art more accessible and help viewers perceive and interpret artworks.
In Spring 2020, during the Covid-19 lockdown, I curated a day by day confinement journal, sharing how the works of 50+ of my favorite artists could inspire and offer useful ways of thinking about the pandemic. What started off as a lockdown diary on Instagram has expanded into ongoing musings interlacing art with current events.
In my weekly newsletter, I write about artists and artworks that echo our present moment, weaving my perspective on art with our lived experience, thereby bringing contemporary art to your fingertips. Newsletter are bilingual, available in English and in French.
